The Washington Justice is signing off-tank Shin "Kalios" Woo-yeol, pending league approval, the organization announced Monday.
The team also announced the departure of off-tank Kim "Fury" Jun-ho. According to Justice general manager Aaron "PRE" Heckman, Fury wanted to move closer to his family in South Korea.
Kalios most recently played for New York Excelsior for three months at the end of the 2021 season. He also played for Boston Uprising in 2018 and spent about three years in between with Overwatch Contenders cteams Third Impact, O2 Blast and WGS Phoenix.
Kalios "embodies the new age of tanks in the @overwatchleague," PRE tweeted Monday. "He has taken what he learned from previous seasons while remaining flexible for the changes coming with OW2. This has been a long time coming, and we're so happy to have him."
Earlier this offseason, Washington also signed main support Gi-beom "OPENER" An, who is considered inactive until he turns 18 in April.
