LONDON, UK, 17th May 2023 - Bridging connections, forging new partnerships, driving growth. These are the key issues Jane Putley, Active International's new Commercial Partnerships Director will focus on, setting the course for the leading global corporate trade company's growth trajectory and supporting that of their partners'. A pivotal position for growthThis pivotal position has been created with a singular purpose - to act as a key driver for growth. At Active International, there are three components to this:
The Commercial Partnerships Director is uniquely positioned within the business structure, serving as the bridge between media and agency commercial hubs to create a cohesive, focused approach to revenue generation.Equipped for a challenging marketJane joins Active International from a background in sales and trading in the publishing industry having worked for some of the UK's major players, including Northern & Shell and DMG Media, across the full media mix. This makes her perfectly positioned to contend with today's challenging and unpredictable market conditions, as well as the unrelenting pace of change in the media sector."I've witnessed, lived and breathed the pace of change across the media landscape - as well as the market challenges of the last 10 years in particular." - Jane Putley, Commercial Partnerships Director.Living Active's valuesIn addition to her extensive experience, what really shone throughout the selection process was Jane's people-first approach, which aligns with Active International's values.Care, collaboration and a spirit of co-creation are fundamental to how the business operates. Active believes in fostering a culture that is driven by behaviours and values, not just empty words. In Jane, they've found someone who not only understands these values, but truly embodies them."Jane was interested not only in who was in the immediate team, but how the dynamics work across the business as a whole and that showed us something that's really important to us at Active - people who genuinely care." - Cameron Swan, Managing Director.Aside from the expected challenges of starting a new role, including getting to grips with not only what Active International do, but how they do it and why, Jane's got another challenge to tackle: training for a half-marathon in September alongside her new colleagues. Active International is excited to see the growth and value she will drive for clients, partners, and the wider organisation. The whole team looks forward to the journey ahead with Jane at the helm of commercial partnerships.
