The Florida Panthers will not have leading scorer Brad Marchand in the lineup Tuesday against the visiting Anaheim Ducks due to a death in the family.
Marchand, 37, leads Florida in goals (five), assists (six) and points (11) in 10 games this season. The four-time All-Star left wing helped the Panthers win their second straight Stanley Cup last spring in his first season with the club.
In his 17th season, Marchand is nine points shy of 1,000 in his career, posting 429 goals and 562 assists over 1,110 games with the Boston Bruins (2009-25) and Panthers. He won his first Stanley Cup with Boston in 2010-11, his first full season.
Forward Jonah Gadjovich (upper body) will also sit out Tuesday and is expected to miss a week, coach Paul Maurice told reporters. In 10 games this season, the 27-year-old has three points (all assists). Over 170 games with the Vancouver Canucks (2020-21), San Jose Sharks (2021-23) and Panthers (2024-present), he has 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists).
Center Noah Gregor, who signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Panthers earlier this month, will make his team debut Tuesday. The 27-year-old has spent parts of six seasons with the Sharks (2019-23, 2024-25), Toronto Maple Leafs (2023-24) and Ottawa Senators (2024-25), compiling 70 points (36 goals, 34 assists) over 293 games.
