The Riyadh Falcons, Boston Breach and Toronto KOI all clinched victories on the opening day of Week 2 of Call of Duty League 2026: Stage 1 Major qualifiers Friday.
The Falcons got their first win of qualifying by sweeping the Carolina Royal Ravens 3-0, while Boston and Toronto each improved to 2-0 for the event. Boston edged G2 Minnesota 3-2 while Toronto defeated the Vancouver Surge 3-0.
A group of 12 teams will play seven matches during qualifying, each win earning them 10 CDL points. While all 12 qualify for Major 1, Jan. 29-Feb. 1 in Dallas, the results will determine whether teams begin the major in the upper or lower bracket.
On Friday, Riyadh dominated Carolina 250-166 on Colossus Hardpoint, 6-2 on Scar Search and Destroy and 4-2 on Exposure Overload.
Similarly, Toronto cruised past Vancouver 250-111 on Colossus Hardpoint, scratched out a 6-5 win on Den Search and Destroy and prevailed 4-1 on Den Overload.
The Breach fell into a 2-0 hole against G2, who squeaked out a 250-247 win on Colossus Hardpoint and added a 6-1 result on Scar Search and Destroy. Boston staved off elimination by winning 4-2 on Exposure Overload and 250-145 on Exposure Hardpoint. The do-or-die fifth map was Raid Search and Destroy, where the Breach prevailed 6-3 to complete the comeback.
The qualifiers continue Saturday with three matches:
--Paris Gentle Mates vs. Los Angeles Thieves
--OpTic Texas vs. Miami Heretics
--Vancouver Surge vs. Cloud9 New York
