Top-ranked Indiana plucked a collection of marquee talent out of the transfer portal Sunday, securing commitments from TCU quarterback Josh Hoover, Michigan State wideout Nick Marsh, Boston College running back Turbo Richard and Kansas State defensive end Tobi Osunsanmi.
Multiple outlets confirmed that Hoover, a three-year starter for the Horned Frogs and one of the top quarterbacks available (sixth among passers according to the On3 industry rankings), will be heading to Bloomington, Ind.
Current Hoosiers starter Fernando Mendoza, the Heisman Trophy winner, is expected to turn professional after the No. 1 Hoosiers' playoff run, opening the door for Hoover to step into the starting role immediately.
Hoover has thrown for 9,629 yards in his TCU career, amassing 71 touchdown passes in the process. In 2025, he passed for 3,472 yards and 29 touchdowns for the 9-4 Horned Frogs. Mendoza tossed 36 touchdowns to go along with 3,172 yards after transferring in from California.
Marsh, who announced his move on Instagram, remains in the Big Ten and brings two seasons of eligibility to the conference champions. The 6-foot-3 Detroit native, regarded as a four-star recruit coming out of high school, led the Spartans in receiving in each of his two years. He leaves East Lansing, Mich., with 100 catches for 1,311 yards and nine touchdowns, which includes 662 yards and six scores this season. In 2024, Marsh set Michigan State records for true freshmen with 41 receptions and 649 yards.
Marsh's arrival will help a receiving room that must replace senior Elijah Sarratt, who leads the Hoosiers with 13 touchdown receptions and ranks second with 55 catches and 727 receiving yards.
Curt Cignetti and his staff have been effective at reloading for 2026 while also preparing for their College Football Playoff semifinal against Oregon on Jan. 9 in the Peach Bowl, as the program also added Richard and Osunsanmi on Sunday.
Richard, a sophomore, rushed for a team-best 749 yards and nine touchdowns for the Eagles this past season. He added 30 receptions for 213 yards and two touchdowns.
In spot duty as a freshman, he ran for 278 yards and two scores.
Osunsanmi was one of Kansas State's top pass rushers before an undisclosed injury suffered against Baylor ended his season prematurely. The junior still finished with career highs in tackles (20), tackles for loss (six) and sacks (four).
